            <description>&lt;p&gt;The GSAC had several athletes earn NAIA All-America honors in men&amp;#39;s and women&amp;#39;s basketball. NAIA Champion Westmont&amp;#39;s &lt;strong&gt;Tugce Cantiez&lt;/strong&gt; and &lt;strong&gt;Coach Kirsten Moore&lt;/strong&gt; were named the NAIA Div. I Women&amp;#39;s Basketball Player and Coach of the Year, respectively.&lt;/p&gt;</description>

            <title>[Basketball] GSAC Sends Seven Teams to NAIA Championships</title>

            <description>&lt;p&gt;A total of seven teams from the Golden State Athletic Conference have qualified for the NAIA Div. I Men&amp;#39;s and Women&amp;#39;s Basketball Championship Tournaments.&amp;nbsp; As GSAC Tournament Champions, the No. 8 &lt;strong&gt;Vanguard&lt;/strong&gt; women and the No. 23 &lt;strong&gt;Concordia&lt;/strong&gt; men have received the GSAC&amp;#39;s automatic berth to their respective national tournaments.&amp;nbsp; No. 4 &lt;strong&gt;Westmont&lt;/strong&gt; and No. 10 &lt;strong&gt;The&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;strong&gt;Master&amp;#39;s&lt;/strong&gt; receive at-large berths to the women&amp;#39;s tournament, and on the men&amp;#39;s side No. 11 &lt;strong&gt;Westmont&lt;/strong&gt;, No. 16 &lt;strong&gt;Hope&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;strong&gt;International&lt;/strong&gt;, and No. 19 &lt;strong&gt;Arizona&lt;/strong&gt; &lt;strong&gt;Christian&lt;/strong&gt; will be heading to nationals.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&amp;nbsp;</description>

            <title>[Basketball] Supervisor of Officials John Dangleis Honored</title>

            <description>&lt;p&gt;Longtime Supervisor of Officials John Dangleis was honored at the GSAC All-Sports meeting at Vanguard University, Sept. 9.&amp;nbsp; Dangleis served as the GSAC&amp;#39;s supervisor of basketball officials since the conference&amp;#39;s inaugural 1986-87 season until he passed away earlier this year.&amp;nbsp; John&amp;#39;s wife Sue (below left), daughter Dore, and his son Dave (below center), who is the current supervisor of officials for the conference, were recognized on his behalf by GSAC Commissioner Mike Daniels (below right) and former commissioner Dr. Cliff Hamlow.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;&amp;nbsp;</description>
