SOCCER OFFENSIVE PLAYERFreshman ~ 5-2 ~ Forward ~ San Diego, California Freshman Lizzy Bendrick recorded a goal and an assist as unranked California Baptist won both of its GSAC games last week. She assisted on the game-winner at No. 5-ranked Point Loma Nazarene. Bendrick then scored the game-winner against Fresno Pacific with a 30-yard shot over the keeper. Bendrick was selected as the NAIA Region II Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. WOMEN'S
SOCCER DEFENSIVE PLAYERSUZANNE TORRES ~ Concordia University Junior ~ 5-10 ~ Goalkeeper ~ Riverside, California Junior goalkeeper Suzanne Torres made 15 saves and didn't allow a goal as No. 10-ranked Concordia registered a win and a tie in GSAC play last week. In the win against No. 18 Vanguard, she made 3 saves while recording a 4-0 shutout. In the 0-0 double-overtime tie at Westmont, Torres had 12 saves in 84 minutes of play. PLAYERADRIAN ALVARADO ~ Fresno Pacific University Senior ~ 5-9 ~ Midfielder ~ Strathmore, California Senior midfielder Adrian Alvarado scored 3 goals as No. 10-ranked Fresno Pacific won both of its GSAC games last week. He scored his first goal of the week in a win over Westmont. Then Alvarado scored the game-tying goal on the road at California Baptist to force overtime and then scored the game-winner in double overtime. MEN'S

PLAYERMIKE BORST ~ Concordia University Senior ~ 5-11 ~ Goalkeeper ~ Shelby Township, MI Senior goalkeeper Mike Borst posted 2 shutouts as No. 1-ranked Concordia won both of its conference games last week and remains undefeated. Borst stopped all 8 shots on goal in 180 minutes of play in both 1-0 shutouts of Vanguard at home and Westmont on the road. Borst now has 8 shutouts on the season and a GSAC-low .28 goals against average. Borst was chosen as the NAIA Region II Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. SETTERJunior ~ 6-0 ~ Setter ~ Shen Yang, China Junior setter Shu Liu had 68 assists (11.3 a/g), 24 digs (4.0 d/g), 2 blocks (1 solo), and 13 kills (2.2 k/g) with a .524 hitting percentage in NAIA top-ranked Fresno Pacific's 3-game sweeps of top-10 ranked GSAC opponents. In the win at No. 6 Azusa Pacific, Shu Liu had 35 assists, 6 kills, and 12 digs. Against No. 2 California Baptist, she had 33 assists, 7 kills, 12 digs, and an ace. Shu Liu was chosen as the NAIA Region II Volleyball Setter of the Week. VOLLEYBALL
LIBEROTIFFANY MARINOS ~ Fresno Pacific University Sophomore ~ 5-9 ~ Libero ~ Three Rivers, California Sophomore libero Tiffany Marinos tallied 48 digs (8 d/g) against 2 top-10 NAIA teams as No. 1-ranked Fresno Pacific won both of its GSAC matches and extended its winning streak to 12 matches in the conference and 21 matches overall. For the week, she had a serve reception percentage of 1.000 and a .931 serving percentage with 1 ace. Marinos was selected as the NAIA Volleyball Libero of the Week.
