PLAYERAMANDA ADDIE ~ Point Loma Nazarene University Senior ~ 5-7 ~ Left Field ~ Chino, California Amanda Addie went 13-for-15 (.867) with a double, 9 runs scored, 5 RBI, and 9 stolen bases in 9 attempts as No. 2 ranked Point Loma Nazarene won all 4 of its GSAC games last week. The senior reached base 16 times in 17 plate appearances. Against then No. 21 Azusa Pacific, Addie went 8-for-9 with 5 runs scored, 3 RBI, and 5 stolen bases. In a sweep of Hope International, she was 5-for-6 with 4 runs, 2 RBI, and 4 more steals. Addie now has 168 career stolen bases, only 2 away from setting a Point Loma Nazarene record. She is 6 bags away from tying the all-time NAIA mark. SOFTBALL PITCHERERICA MOYER ~ Biola University Freshman ~ 5-8 ~ RHP ~ Hemet, California Freshman Erica Moyer was 1-1 in 2 starts last week for Biola. She limited No. 1-ranked California Baptist to just 1 run on 2 hits over 5 innings and struck out 2. At No. 13 Vanguard, she continued her solid pitching, scattering 4 hits over 7 shutout innings. She added 5 strikeouts and picked up the win in that game. BASEBALL
PLAYERMATT ROSS ~ Concordia University Senior ~ 5-10 ~ Utility ~ Claremont, California Senior Matt Ross was 6-for-16 (.375) at the plate with 5 runs scored, a double, 4 home runs, 6 RBI, 1 walk, and 1 stolen base as Concordia won 3-of-4 conference games last week. In the 2 wins over Vanguard, Ross was 4-for-8 (.500) with a double, 3 home runs, and 5 RBI. He added another home run in the win at Fresno Pacific. BASEBALL
PITCHERSTEVE GOINS ~ California Baptist University Senior ~ 6-3 ~ RHP ~ Riverside, California Senior Steve Goins tossed 8 shutout innings in a 7-0 win over No. 19-ranked Biola. He gave up 7 hits, 6 of which were singles, and did not allow a walk while striking out 7 batters. Only 1 runner reached second base.
