PLAYERJACQIE HUDSON~ Biola University Senior ~ 5-5 ~ 3rd Base ~ Orange, California Senior Jacqie Hudson finished the week with a .478 batting average (11-for-23) to lead Biola to 4 wins in 6 games including a 9-4 upset win over No. 3-ranked Point Loma Nazarene. Hudson had 11 hits including 2 doubles and 2 home runs, adding 11 RBIs and 7 runs scored. In Biola's upset of the Sea Lions, Hudson went 2-for-4 and scored a pair of runs. Her best game of the week came against McPherson KS against whom she went 3-for-3 with a home run and 5 RBIs. SOFTBALL PITCHERAMY THOMAS ~ California Baptist University Senior ~ 5-11 ~ LHP ~ Barstow, California Senior pitcher Amy Thomas shut out 2 nationally-ranked teams for No. 2-ranked California Baptist last week. For the week she gave up 9 hits and 2 walks in 13 innings of work, while striking out 13 batters. Thomas had 9 strikeouts, just 1 short of tying the single-game school record, in the 6-inning win against visiting No. 16 Columbia MO. In the win at No. 8 Vanguard, she gave up 5 hits and no runs and had 4 strikeouts. BASEBALL
PLAYERCHRIS FOREMAN ~ Biola University Junior ~ 5-10 ~ Center Field ~ Tyler, Texas Junior Chris Foreman went 11-for-22 (.500) for the week with a home run, 2 triples, 3 doubles, 4 walks, 3 stolen bases, 11 runs scored, and 9 RBIs as Biola won 5-of-6 games last week. He had a triple and a home run for 3 RBIs in the win at Bethany and had 2 doubles with 3 RBIs in the split at Patten. Foreman went 7-for-12 (.583) in Biola's 3 GSAC wins including a 4-for-5 performance at Westmont. He was a home run shy of the cycle in that game, scoring 5 runs and driving in 3. BASEBALL
PITCHERJOSH BAAS ~ Biola University Senior ~ 6-4 ~ RHP ~ Redding, California Senior Josh Baas earned 2 wins for Biola last week giving up 10 hits, 1 walk, and 1 earned run while striking out 16 batters in 13 innings of work. Baas struck out 11 and scattered 6 hits, allowing just 2 unearned runs in Biola's 4-3 win at Bethany. He gave up just 1 run on 4 hits while striking out 5 in the 7-inning complete-game win at San Diego Christian.
