    • Pitcher of the Week
      • Nick Turner - Biola
      • Sophomore - 6-0 - Pitcher - Palos Verdes, Calif.
      • Turner recorded a career-high 13 strikeouts, allowing just 4 runs on 5 hits in the complete-game win against San Diego Christian. The senior allowed 4 runs through the first 3 innings, but retired 15 of the final 16 batters including 12-straight at one point to earn the win. Turner is now 5-1 with a 1.79 ERA in his 6 starts against GSAC competition this season.

      • Steven Karkenny - The Master's
      • Sophomore - 6-2 - Left Fielder - Chatsworth, Calif.
      • During a week in which The Master's went 4-0, Steven Karkenny hit 6-for-17 (.353) and drove in 12 runs, highlighted by a 2-home run, 6-rbi performance against Westmont. The sophomore left fielder also scored 4 runs, hit 2 doubles, and stole a base. The Master's is currently in sole possession of first place in the conference.

      • Nick Greene - San Diego Christian
      • Senior - 6-0 - Pitcher - Pomona, Calif.
      • Nick Greene collected wins over Biola and Westmont last week, tossing 16.0 innings, striking out 16 batters and allowing only one earned run leading to a .56 ERA for the week. Greene is 5-1 on the season with a 2.76 ERA, helping San Diego Christian (20-11, 11-10 GSAC) to its best start in the history of the program.

      • Bryan Garza - Concordia
      • Junior - 6-1 - First Base - Villa Park, Calif.
      • Bryan Garza had at least one hit in every game going 9-for-20 (.450) at the plate with 3 doubles, 2 home runs, 7 RBIs, 3 runs and 3 walks as Concordia won 4-of-6 games last week. He had a double, a home run and 3 RBI in the win at Arizona Christian. The junior first baseman is first in the GSAC with 44 hits, second in batting average at .386, third with 27 RBI and third with 5 home runs.

      • Cole Swanson - Concordia
      • Junior - 6-5 - Pitcher - San Diego, Calif.
      • Concordia's Cole Swanson improved to 7-1 as he shut down No. 23 Doane in 6 innings of work, allowing 3 hits with 5 strikeouts, allowing only 4 base runners. The junior is currently second in the country in wins and 10th in strikeouts (55). He leads the GSAC in ERA (2.16) and wins. Swanson is fourth in the GSAC in strikeouts.

      • Sophomore left fielder Steven Karkenny capped off an outstanding week with a 9-for-14 (.643) performance in the Mustangs' three-game sweep of San Diego Christian. The GSAC's leading hitter and run-producer hit 10-for-18 (.556) during the week, hit a pair of home runs, drove in 7 runs, and scored 6 more himself.

      • Cole Swanson - Concordia
      • Junior - 6-5 - Pitcher - San Diego, Calif.
      • Cole Swanson gave up only 4 hits in a complete-game shutout of the No. 5-ranked The Master's. He received 2 runs of support, but struck out 5, only walked 3, and improved to 8-1 on the year. The junior is currently second in the nation in wins (8), second in innings pitched per game (7.5), and 10th in strikeouts. With a 1.87 earned run average, Swanson leads the GSAC and is the only conference pitcher below a 2.00 ERA. Swanson was selected as the NAIA Baseball Pitcher of the Week.

      • Junior - 6-2 - Centerfielder - San Diego, Calif.
      • In his first starts since returning from an injury in the third game of the season, Cade Gotta was 6-for-12 (.500) in the San Diego Christian 3-game sweep on the road at No. 3-ranked Cal State San Marcos. The junior centerfielder scored 4 runs, collected 4 doubles, and notched 4 RBIs. In limited action, Gotta is batting .481 (13-27) on the season. San Diego Christian set the school record for wins in a season last week and sits at 24-13 on the year.

      • A.J. Work - The Master's
      • Senior - 5-11 - Pitcher - Boise, Idaho
      • In 9 innings of play last week, A.J. Work of No. 7-ranked The Master's College did not give up an earned run while striking out 9 batters. Besides a final inning in a 10-1 win against La Sierra, the senior left-hander went 8 innings in a 4-1 win over Vanguard with 7 strikeouts and allowed no earned runs in running his record to 8-3. The victory was the 26th of his career, the second-most wins in program history.

      • Junior - 5-9 - Outfielder - Mission Viejo, Calif.
      • Peter Hoyt led San Diego Christian's sweep of Arizona Christian going 8-for-13 (.615) with 4 runs, 8 RBIs, 2 doubles, a triple and a home run. On the season, the senior second baseman is batting .347 with 21 RBIs. The Hawks are currently in the midst of the best season in program history, sitting at third place in the GSAC with a record of 27-13 overall, 14-13 GSAC.

      • Mike Lachapelle - Arizona Christian
      • Senior - 6-2 - Pitcher - Tucson, Ariz.
      • Senior LHP Mike Lachapelle threw the third shutout and third 9-inning complete game in Arizona Christian's 3-season baseball history, defeating No. 6 The Master's College, 7-0, in game one of a GSAC doubleheader. Lachapelle struck out 12, the second-best single-game total in school history, walked none and allowed 8 hits. He retired the last 6 Mustangs he faced in the eighth and ninth innings to secure the win and the shutout. Lachapelle improved his record to 5-5 and lowered his team-best ERA to 3.13 and also leads the team with 53 strikeouts and just 10 walks in 74.2 innings pitched this season.

      • Senior - 6-0 - Outfielder - Las Cruces, N.M.
      • Nathan Enriquez totaled 8 hits in 13 at-bats (.615) with one double, one walk, one stolen base, 5 runs scored and 6 RBI as Arizona Christian swept No. 6-ranked The Master's College in a 3-game series. The senior outfielder went 4-for-6 with a double and 4 RBI in the first game. Then in the doubleheader he was 4-for-7 with 4 runs and 2 RBI. Enriquez raised his batting average to .291 with 13 RBI with his weekend explosion and leads the Firestorm with 10 stolen bases and 25 runs scored.

      • Senior - 6-4 - Pitcher - Chandler, Ariz.
      • Tanner Tripp defeated Westmont, 9-1, allowing no runs, 7 hits and 1 walk while striking out 7 Warriors in 7 innings of work. The senior improved his record to 3-1 and lowered his earned run average to a team-best 2.83 with 32 strikeouts and just 10 walks allowed in 35 innings this season.

      • Seth Neely - Arizona Christian
      • Junior - 6-1 - Right Fielder - Phoenix, Ariz.
      • Seth Neely totaled 13 hits in 24 at-bats (.541) with 11 runs scored, 5 doubles, 2 home runs, and 12 RBI in 5 road games for Arizona Christian last week. The junior right fielder set a school record with his current 13-game hitting streak. He hit safely in each of 3 games as the Firestorm went 1-2 at Westmont. Neely went 4-for-5 with 3 doubles, a home run and 5 RBI in a 20-7 win over La Sierra in game one. He then set a school record with 6 hits in 7 at-bats with a double and a home run, a school-record 7 RBI and 5 runs scored in the 31-5 second game win. Neely leads Arizona Christian with a .415 batting average, which includes a school-record 14 doubles and 36 RBI and has hit 6 home runs.

      • Sophomore - 5-11 - Pitcher - Boise, Idaho
      • A. J. Work threw a complete game for The Master's College, giving up 9 hits but just one run. He fanned 3 along the way to earn his tenth win of the season, a victory that tied him with Chris Beck (28, 1991-94) for the most wins in school history. The Master's is the GSAC Champion for the first time since 2003.

      • Junior - 6-3 - First Base - El Cajon, Calif.
      • In 4 wins for San Diego Christian last week, Taylor Eichhorst was 6-for-12 (.500) at the plate with 8 runs, 2 doubles, 2 stolen bases, and an eighth-inning game-tying home run in the 3-2 win over Biola. The junior first baseman leads the GSAC with 11 home runs and is second in RBIs with 48. The Hawks finished the regular season in third place in the conference and advance to the GSAC tournament for the first time since beginning baseball in 2007.
