      • Jamaal Lee - Vanguard
      • Junior - 6-3 - Forward - Long Beach, Calif.
      • Jamaal Lee recorded a double-double with 23 points and 14 rebounds as Vanguard beat Bethesda and remains undefeated at 7-0. Lee shot 5-for-10 from the field and was 13-for-18 (.722) at the free throw line. The junior forward also added six assists, four steals and two blocks.

      • Lawrence Russell - The Master's
      • Junior - 6-4 - Guard - Port Townsend, Wash.
      • Lawrence Russell posted back-to-back double-doubles last week for The Master's University, averaging 19.5 points and 12 rebounds. The unranked Mustangs fell to No. 9 Westmont 84-78 in double-overtime at home and then traveled to No. 25 Arizona Christian and posted the upset victory just three days later. For the week, the junior guard shot 15-for-35 (.429) from the field, including 3-for-9 (.333) from 3-point range, and 6-for-9 (.667) at the line. Russell also tallied 7 assists, 5 blocks and a steal.

      • Chris Sterling - Arizona Christian
      • Senior - 6-5 - Guard - Bakersfield, Calif.
      • Chris Sterling averaged 25 points and 6.5 rebounds leading No. 25 Arizona Christian to two neutral site victories last week. He shot 15-for-22 (.681) from the field, including 6-for-11 (.545) from 3-point range, and 14-for-15 (.933) from the free throw line. In the upset win against No. 6 Carroll (MT), the senior guard scored 23 points, grabbed 6 rebounds, dished out 2 assists and had 2 steals. The following day against UC Merced, Sterling missed just one shot in the game on his way to 27 points and 7 rebounds in just 23 minutes of play.

      • Sean McDonnell - Westmont
      • Senior - 6-8 - Forward - Encinitas, Calif.
      • Sean McDonnell helped lead Westmont to a 2-0 record on the week with both games against top-15 teams. His 20 points against No. 14 Arizona Christian on the road and his 14 points against No. 3 Biola at home were both team highs. He also led the team in rebounding with 12 in the two games. For the week, the senior forward shot 12-for-23 (.522) from the field and 10-for-13 (.769) at the line. His ability to get to the line and make free throws down the stretch helped seal the win against Biola.

      • Corey Blau - Westmont
      • Sophomore - 6-3 - Guard - Laguna Niguel, Calif.
      • Corey Blau scored 51 points and pulled down 10 rebounds on a two-game road trip last week. The senior guard posted a career-high 32 points against William Jessup. For the week, Blau shot .607 from the field (17-for-28), including .667 from 3-point range (8-for-12), and made 9-of-10 from the charity stripe. He has a season field goal percentage of .524 (98-for-187) including a season 3-point percentage of .533 (48-for-90). The latter is second in the NAIA.

      • Tim Soares - The Master's
      • Freshman - 6-10 - Center - Everson, Wash.
      • Last week, Tim Soares of The Master's University earned a double-double in the win against (RV) Vanguard after scoring 17 points and grabbing 16 rebounds. Two days later, the 6-10 freshman center's 16 points led the Mustangs past No. 5 Westmont on the road. For the week, the freshman center was nearly perfect, shooting 14-for-15 (.933) from the field and 5-for-6 (.833) at the line and also dished out 6 assists and blocked 2 shots.

      • Reid Shackelford - The Master's
      • Senior - 5-11 - Guard - Murrieta, Calif.
      • Reid Shackelford averaged 22.5 points and 5 rebounds as The Master's came away with two wins in Northern California last week, including a victory that knocked No. 16-ranked William Jessup off the top of the GSAC standings. For the week, the senior guard shot 13-for-28 (.464) from the field, including 8-for-20 from the 3-point arch, and 11-for-14 (.786) at the free throw line.

    • Player of the Week
      • Liam Hunt - Hope International
      • Junior - 6-6 - Forward - San Anselmo, Calif.
      • Liam Hunt averaged a double-double (17.5 points and 10 rebounds, while shooting 14-for-23 (.609) from the field, including 2-for-4 from beyond the arc, last week with a win at home against No. 20 William Jessup and a road win at San Diego Christian. The junior forward put up 17 points, 13 boards, 3 assists, and 3 blocks against Jessup, and then followed that with 18 points, 7 boards, 3 more assists, and a pair of steals at San Diego Christian. Hunt's strong play all over the court is part of the reason the Royals have gone 7-0 in the last three weeks with four wins against ranked NAIA opponents.

      • Josh Smith - Hope International
      • Senior - 6-4 - Forward - National City, Calif.
      • Josh Smith had a great week for Hope International as the Royals kept their win streak alive with a victory over No. 23 The Master's and an overtime win at Vanguard. He recorded 29 points, 11 rebounds and 6 blocks while shooting 13-for-17 (.765) fromt he field. Smith came up with four blocks against the Mustangs, and then against the Lions shot 80% from the field with 18 points against Vanguard to help Hope International stretch its winning streak to nine games. The Royals sit on top of the GSAC standings and now have seven wins against ranked NAIA opponents this season.

      • Patson Siame - Arizona Christian
      • Sophomore - 6-11 - Forward - Luanshya, Zambia
      • Patson Siame averaged a double-double of 16 points and 15 rebounds in two GSAC wins for Arizona Christian last week. He shot 14-for-20 (.700) from the field in the two games. He produced 13 points and 9 rebounds in the 63-62 upset win over GSAC leading and No. 10-ranked Hope International. Against Vanguard, Siame pulled down 21 rebounds, the highest single-game total in the GSAC and tied for second best in the NAIA this season. He also scored 19 points and produced four blocks in the 88-81 overtime win over the Lions to keep Arizona Christian in the GSAC playoff hunt.
