    • Player of the Week
      • Jaamon Echols - Vanguard
      • Senior - 5-11 - Guard - Seattle, Wash.
      • Jaamon Echols scored 46 points, and tallied nine assists, six steals, and four rebounds as Vanguard won both of its games last week. In the win against Northern British Columbia, the senior guard tied his career high with 31 points. Against Alberta, he scored 15 points and had seven assists. Echols has been one of the top two scorers for the Lions in all 12 games this season.

      • Darius Clement - William Jessup
      • Senior - 6-4 - Wing - Las Vegas, Nev.
      • Darius Clement posted 40 points, 19 rebounds and 14 assists in two games last week and recorded a triple-double in an upset victory at No. 24 Vanguard. The senior wing was 12-for-20 (.600) from the field and 15-for-22 (.682) at the line.

      • Echols averaged 24 points and 6 assists as the Lions went 1-1 on the week including a competitive loss to HIU who is 12th in the nation and atop the GSAC standings.

      • Sharif Watson - Arizona Christian
      • Senior - 6-6 - Forward - Ontario, Calif.
      • Sharif Watson led the Firestorm to a wire-to-wire win over Vanguard on Saturday. He finished with a double-double of 22 points and 13 rebounds- both game highs. He scored nine straight points at one point as ACU opened with a 24-7 lead. On Tuesday, Watson impacted the game defensively including two blocks as ACU blew past No. 7 Hope International. For the week Watson averaged 13.5 PPG and 8 RPG.

      • Darius Clement - William Jessup
      • Senior - 6-4 - Wing - Las Vegas, Nev.
      • In the defeat of No. 10 Arizona Christian, Darius Clement set a school record for most points scored in a game with 35. In addition to 35 points, Clement also contributed 12 rebounds to secure a double-double, as well as 3 assists and 5 steals. Finally, Clement helped secure another victory over a top ten team, No. 7 Hope International. The senior wing averaged 21.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 3 blocks per game for the week. He also shot a stellar 60% from the field and 85% from the charity stripe.

      • Zach Allmon - Vanguard
      • Freshman - 6-8 - Forward - San Luis Obispo, Calif.
      • Allmon went off in the first game of the week to score season high of 39 points which is also his career high. He also posted another monster game in a near upset of No. 10 Biola as the Lions fell by 1 point at the buzzer. For the week he put up impressive averages of 32.5 points, 13.5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.5 blocks also while shooting an unearthly 73% from the field.

      • Saajid Polite - William Jessup
      • Senior - 6-4 - Guard - Sacramento, Calif.
      • In a tough conference road game against northern California rival Menlo College, Sacramento native Saajid Polite scored a season-high 32 points while playing the entire 40 minutes of the game shooting 12-17 from the field and 5-8 from behind the three-point line. Polite additionally added four assists and two steals to the performance. Two days after Menlo, Polite added another 34 minutes against Vanguard University where he scored 26 points and completed five assists, shooting a near perfect game going 9-10 from the field and 5-6 from behind the three-point line.

      • Dalante Dunklin - San Diego Christian
      • Senior - 6-1 - Point Guard - San Diego, Calif.
      • Dalante averaged 28.5 points per game this week, all against ranked opponents. The 6'1 point guard also averaged 7.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2 steals for the week. He is averaging 20 points on the season, which is good for 16th in the nation.

      • Terrell Funches - Biola
      • Senior - 6-3 - Guard - Canoga Park, Calif.
      • Terrell was the leading scorer in the game that decided the 2016 GSAC regular season championship. He led No. 8 Biola to an upset win over No. 5 Hope International with a stunning 22-point outing that was a complete performance as he added six boards and a block. He scored seven of his eight buckets inside and was 5-of-5 from the stripe on his senior night.
