Westmont senior forwards Kelsie Sampson and C.J. Miller were selected as the inaugural GSAC Women's and Men's Basketball Players of the Week, respectively, for the 2013-14 season.

Kelsie Sampson tallied 70 points (23.3 ppg) and 15 rebounds (5.0 rpg) as the No. 8-ranked Westmont women's basketball team won 2-of-3 games last week.  Sampson scored a career-high 35 points in the win against Dordt and with nine rebounds nearly had a double-double.

C.J. Miller nearly averaged a double-double with 21.5 points and 9.0 rebounds per game as the Warriors won both of their games in Westmont's Tom Byron Classic.  Miller surpassed 1100 career points (1101) in his 70th career start in the championship game of the tournament against Saskatchewan and was named the tournament MVP.  C.J.'s father, Mark Miller, also played for Westmont in the very first year of the Tom Byron Classic along with Westmont head coach John Moore.
