KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Megan Daniels of Concordia (Calif.) has been named the NAIA Women's Soccer National Offensive Player of the Week a, the national office announced Tuesday. Daniels was selected based on performances from Oct. 21 – 27 and was chosen out of a pool of conference, independent and unaffiliated group winners.
Daniels, a Lake Forest, Calif., native, turned in an impressive week, tallying back-to-back multi-goal games as Concordia (Calif.) remained unbeaten with victories against then-No. 6 Vanguard (Calif.) and Biola (Calif.). Against Vanguard, Daniels scored the Eagles' final two goals, including the eventual game-winner in the 81st minute. Both goals came after Concordia began playing with 10 players after having an individual receive a red card in the 51st minute. The junior forward registered her second-straight game-winning goal three days later in the 30th minute of Concordia's 2-1 victory against Biola, before adding a second goal in the 59th minute. Daniels is tied for the team lead with seven goals, while ranking second on the squad in assists with four.
