Yesterday, Sunday, October 27, 20 students and staff from the Concordia athletic training program volunteered at the LA Rock & Roll 1/2 Marathon.

They were stationed in the medical tents at the finish line of the course at L.A. LIVE at South Flower Street & West Olympic Boulevard in Los Angeles. They were able to assist runners of all levels. Below is a picture of some of the students making hundreds of ice bags.  Some students were placed as sweepers to help people off the course after they finished the race.

"We were blessed with cool weather which helped decrease the amount of weather related injuries we saw," Concordia ATEP Program Director Jennifer Rizzo said.  "All in all a really great day of saving lives!"
