GSAC Player of the Year, Steven Karkenny

The Baseball All-GSAC and Gold Glove Teams have been announced.  The GSAC Player and Pitcher of the Year honors were awarded to Steven Karkenny and A.J. Work of The Master's College, respectively.  GSAC Coach of the Year Monte Brooks led The Master's to its first GSAC championship since 2003.   The Mustangs will be the No. 1-seed in the upcoming GSAC Baseball Tournament.   

Sophomore Steven Karkenny has a .366 (68-for-186) batting average for the regular season with 9 home runs, 44 runs scored, and 25 stolen bases.  He led the GSAC with 21 doubles and 52 RBI.  Senior pitcher A.J. Work (left) led the conference with a 2.67 ERA and 10 wins, while striking out 65 batters.

Nine position players were named to the GSAC Gold Glove Team for their defensive success on the baseball field.
