After five full innings of scoreless play, Bria Madrid hit a three-run home run in the top of the sixth as No. 6 Biola defeated No. 4-seed William Jessup, 3-0, to remain alive in the GSAC-Cal Pac Softball Tournament.

Earlier in the day, Biola lost to No. 2-seed Simpson 5-0.  Facing elimination, the Eagles had to play William Jessup in the very next game.  After one-out singles by Heather Hall and CeCe Luster in the sixth inning, Bria Madrid hit the ball over the wall for the only scoring of the game.

Biola will now play against Simpson again at 11:30 am on Saturday, April 27.  The winner will then play No. 1 Concordia, who is undefeated in the tournament, at 2:00 pm for the championship.  If both teams have one loss, another game will be played to determine the winner of the double-elimination tournament.
