The Golden State Athletic Conference is proud to announce that it will be sending Hope International University and The Master's University to Lewiston, Idaho for the 2017 Avista NAIA World Series. The World Series is set to begin May 26 and will run through June 2. The World Series bracket will consist of 10 teams and be played as a double elimination tournament.

Hope International, in just it's second year of program existence, will enter the series as winners of the Lima region. The Royals went a perfect 3-0 as the No. 3 seed in their region. HIU came back to tie things up in the 7th inning by scoring four runs. In the bottom of the 8th they added another three runs and went on to win in the championship game, 12-11 over Middle Georgia State.

The Master's University heads back to the World Series where they will hope to have more success than they did in 2016. The Mustangs ran the table in the Lawrenceville region beating host Georgia Gwinnett twice on their home field. TMU was a perfect 4-0 as the No. 4 seed in their bracket. The Mustangs beat host GGC 9-1 in the championship game. The Master's never trailed in the 36 innings they played in the opening round.

Seedings for the World Series bracket have not yet been determined. More information will come once seedings are released.
