MOBILE, Ala. – In just their third ever match in the NAIA National Tournament, the SDC men's tennis team was able to capture its second win with a 5-4 victory of No. 21 McPherson College.

 
 
 
 
 
 

With the win, the Hawks move onto the second round where they take on No. 3 Keiser tomorrow at 9 a.m. SDC improves to 8-10 overall while McPherson dropped to 11-5.

The Hawks blanked the Bulldogs in doubles play. Leonardo Urquidi and Fabian Daniel got SDC on the board first with an 8-2 No. 3 Doubles victory. Alessandro Moriano and Aliaksandr Meliuk followed with an 8-4 win in No. 2 Doubles before Jan-Erik Isermann and Joey Rivera came from behind with a 9-8 thriller.

In singles, Isermann ended his match first with a 6-4, 6-1 victory. The Bulldogs grabbed their first point at No. 6 Singles but Moriano clinched the match at No. 3 Singles with a 6-2, 6-3 winner.
