Biola women finish third at NAIA National Championship (Photo by Nick Dawson)

Representing the GSAC, the Biola women had a conference-best third place finish, and The Master's men and women finished fifth and 10th, respectively, in the NAIA Men's and Women's National Cross Country Championships on a cold and windy day at North Farm Cross Country Course in Elsah, Illinois. 

In the women's 5-kilometer race, three runners from the GSAC finished in the top 30 out of the 334 competing in the race to earn All-America honors.  The top finisher from the GSAC was Emily Ransom of Biola in seventh with a time of 17:28.  Abigail Frankian of The Master's was 13th with a time of 17:35, and Lyndee Dawson of Biola followed in 22nd at 17:43.  In the men's 8K race, Michael Sciarra of The Master's just missed All-America honors by less than 4 seconds with a 32nd place finish in a time of 25:17.
