At the 2016 GSAC Cross Country Championships, the Biola University women and The Master's University men took home the team titles on a chilly morning at Johnson-Springview Park in Rocklin, Calif. The Eagle finished the women's 5k course with a team time of 1:28:35, and the Mustangs finished the men's 8k course with a team time of 2:05:12.

The No. 2-ranked Biola women were led by senior Lyndee Dawson. She finished the course in a time of 17:22, knocking off almost 90 seconds from last years' championship.  The Eagles finished the race with five of the top 10 runners for a team score of 26 points.  No. 6 The Master's finished second overall with 45 points led by junior Abigail Frankian, who finished just one second behind the champion (17:23). 

The men of No. 12 The Master's repeats again and have now won seven consecutive conference meets. The Mustangs finished with a team score of 29 points and were led by senior Joshua Sherfey with a time of 24:45. They were 34 points ahead of the second place team and had the top three individual finishers. The No. 8 Westmont Warriors tied with the fifth-ranked Biola Eagles for a score of 63. Westmont won the tie-breaker giving them the second place team finish. The Eagles were led by freshman Gabe Plendcio (4th overall).

The top 14 finishers in each race earned GSAC All-Conference honors.  The coaches of the winning teams were selected by their peers as the GSAC Coaches of the Year, second-year head coach Sean Henning of Biola for the women and 12-year veteran Zachary Schroeder of The Master's University for the men.
