Kansas City, MO – The NAIA National Office released its 2015 -16 Five Star Institutions that exemplify the five core values. The NAIA core values are integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.

The GSAC had eight of its nine members score in the gold or silver category. Biola University, Hope International University, and William Jessup University were three of the 19 institutions who landed in the gold tier. Biola was tied for second with an overall score of 94 out of 100.

Arizona Christian, Menlo College, San Diego Christian, Vanguard, and Westmont were named silver tier institutions.

Institutions are measured on a demonstrated commitment to Champions of Character and earned points in character training, conduct in competition, academic focus, character recognition and character promotion. Institutions earned points based on exceptional student-athlete grade point averages and by having minimal to no ejections during competition throughout the course of the academic year.
