Concordia is ranked No. 5 and Vanguard also received votes in the NAIA Softball Coaches' Preseason Poll released Tuesday. 

Concordia, which was the 2012 GSAC Champion and won the Cal-Pac/Frontier/GSAC Unaffiliated Group Tournament, earned two first-place votes.

The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences /independent /unaffiliated groupings. The first regular-season Top 25 will be announced on March 19, 2013.
