Women's Soccer - Mon, Nov. 12, 2012

Vanguard and Westmont will represent the GSAC in the NAIA Women's Soccer National Tournament that begins with Opening Rounds on Saturday, November 17.

Vanguard, the regular season and tournament champion, received the No. 3 national seed.  The Lions will host Embry Riddle in the Opening Round.

Westmont, an at-large selection, will travel to its Opening Round opponent, facing Northwood (Fla.)

The six at-large teams were selected based on the final official NAIA Women's Soccer Modified Ratings Percentage Index (MRPI). The MRPI consists of the team's modified winning percentage, their opponents' winning percentage and the cumulative ratings points from the NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll. Each of the three values has a weighted percentage calculated in the MRPI. The MRPI modifies the value of home/away/neutral results and adds more value for games against opponents ranked in their respective national poll.

Westmont, Concordia (Ore.) and Lindsey Wilson boast 10-or-more national championship appearances. The Warriors lead the trio with 15, while Lindsey Wilson is second with 14 trips and Concordia third with12.
