FULLERTON, Calif. – The ITA's second-ranked singles player, Stefan Kilchhofer (SO/Basel, Switzerland), has not lost a regular season individual match during his impressive two-year career with Vanguard. He extended his win-streak to 40 matches on Saturday as the Lions downed Golden State Athletic Conference foe Hope International 9-0.

Vanguard zeroed all three of its opponents on the week. The team boasts a 13-4 record in 2014 and is unbeaten for the second consecutive season (18-straight) in conference play.

Kilchhofer is 40-1 overall in singles, with his only loss coming at the 2013 NAIA Men's Tennis National Championships. He bested John-Douglas Owens 6-4, 6-3 at No. 1 over the weekend.

No. 4 Filip Burnac (SO/Luzern, Switzerland) and No. 5 Michael Rjazanov (SO/Berlin, Germany) did not allow their competitors to score in singles with a pair of 6-0, 6-0 takedowns.

The second, third and sixth matches were also dominated by The Pride as Daymon Johnson (SO/Bakersfield, CA), Miguel Saiz-Perez and Justin Seller (JR/Gold Coast, Australia) each bested their HIU challengers 6-0, 6-1.

Doubles play was equally dominant as Vanguard's number one pair Roger Muri (JR/Zurich, Switzerland) and Burnac trounced Owens and Correa 8-0. The number twos, Johnson and Saiz-Perez followed suit with another 8-0 victory before the third match-up was credited to the Lions by default.

Vanguard has two GSAC matches remaining against Biola (RV) on April 8 and No. 11 Concordia on April 12.
