One of the NAIA's best women's cross country conferences, the GSAC has 41 of its top 50 runners of last year back on the trails this season.
Defending champion Biola, which was paced by a trio of freshmen last year, has a strong group set for the title defense. The Eagles had seven of the top 25 runners in the conference last season, and six of them are back. Biola has also added to its depth with four incoming freshmen looking to make an immediate impact.
The Master's and Westmont, separated by only one point last year, each return a strong pack for the 2013 season as they compete for a berth into the NAIA National Championship. The Master's is looking to make sure it gets in after narrowly missing a spot in the national meet in 2012. The Mustangs bring back three of the top 10 runners in the conference from last year and have strengthened their depth for the upcoming season. Meanwhile, Westmont hung onto its top four runners and added a pair of freshmen to the roster.
The 2013 season has a lot of promise, with the potential for several teams to represent the GSAC at the NAIA National Championship
