Cameron Gliddon, a five-year Concordia basketball player and 2012 Concordia graduate, was recently voted the  2012/13 NBL Rookie of the Year Award of Basketball Australia

Gliddon, who played at Concordia from 2008-2012, won an NAIA National Championship at Concordia in 2012 and was voted an NAIA All-American and Tournament MVP.  He plays professionally in Australia for the Cairns Taipans.

Rookie sensation Cameron Gliddon has claimed the 2012/13 NBL Rookie of the Year Award at the Basketball Australia MVP Awards on Sunday night.

Gliddon averaged 7.1 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.8 assists in his first professional season.

He also led the Snakes on the defensive end with 1.4 steals per game, ranking him third in the National Basketball League.

A highlight of Gliddon's rookie season was his career-high 26 points in a Taipans home win over the Perth Wildcats on 1 March. 

Gliddon is the Concordia career leader in three-pointers made at 342.
