KELLY SCHMIDT ~ Vanguard University
Junior ~ 6-0 ~ Forward ~ Glendale, Arizona
Junior Kelly Schmidt recorded 59 points (29.5 ppg), 21 rebounds (10.5 rpg), 6 assists, 3 steals, and a block as No. 1-ranked Vanguard won both of its games last week.  In a victory over Indiana-South Bend, she had 27 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 rebounds.  In the win against Morningside IA, which is ranked No. 4 in NAIA Div. II, Schmidt recorded a double-double with 32 points and 14 rebounds.   Schmidt has surpassed the school scoring record in only her third season.  Schmidt was chosen as the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

LINDSEY WEST ~ Azusa Pacific University
Senior ~ 5-11 ~ Forward ~ Wasco, California

Senior Lindsey West averaged 20.3 points, 9 rebounds, 3.3 blocks, 2.3 assists and 2 steals as No. 14-ranked Azusa Pacific defeated all 3 of its GSAC opponents last week.  For the week, West was 23-for-37 (.620) from the field, including 1-for-1 from 3-point range, and 14-for-20 (.700) at the line.  She recorded a double-double, with 23 points and 11 rebounds, and had 7 blocks and 3 steals in a victory at No. 6 The Master's.  In the win over Hope International, she nearly had another double-double with 25 points and 9 rebounds as well as 4 assists.  Finally at No. 24 Concordia, West had 13 points and 7 rebounds.  With 1564 career points, West has now moved into third place on Azusa Pacific's scoring chart.

Junior Rachel Besse averaged 13.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 blocks and 2 assists as No. 1-ranked Vanguard won both of its GSAC games to remain undefeated for the season.  For the week, Besse was 11-for-15 (.730) from the field and 5-for-8 (.620) at the line.  She recorded her third double-double of the season with 15 points and 11 rebounds, as well as 4 blocks and 3 assists, in the victory over Westmont.  In the win at Fresno Pacific, she had 12 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals.  Besse recently crossed the 1,000-point and 600-rebound plateaus in her 3-year Vanguard career.

Horsholm, Denmark

Junior Kristine Jensen averaged 20.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.3 steals as Concordia won all 3 of it conference games and is in a 3-way tie for third place in the conference.  For the week, she was 26-for-40 (.650) from the field and 10-for-16 (.620) at the line.  In the win over California Baptist, Jensen recorded a double-double with 25 points and 14 rebounds while shooting 11-for-15 (.733).  In the win at Hope International, she had 17 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks.  Then she had 20 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 steals in the victory at Biola.

Junior Kelly Schmidt averaged 20 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals as No. 1-ranked Vanguard won both its conference games  and remained undefeated.  For the week, she was 15-for-25 (.600) from the field and 9-for-11 (.820) at the line.  In the win at No. 7 Azusa Pacific, Schmidt had 18 points and 9 rebounds.  Then she tallied 22 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 steals in the win over San Diego Christian.   Schmidt is the GSAC-leading scorer in all games with 21.2 points per game.

JASMINE NAULT ~ Hope International University
Sophomore ~ 5-9 ~ Guard ~ Anaheim, California

Sophomore Jasmine Nault averaged 19.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals and 1.5 assists as Hope International won both its games last week to improve its winning streak to 4 games.  For the week, she was 13-for-23 (.565) from the field and 13-for-20 (.650) at the line.  Nault had 19 points and 6 rebounds as Hope handed Chapman its first and only home loss of the season in the Panthers' final home game.  In the victory over California Baptist, she had 20 points, 7 rebounds, 4 steals, and 2 assists to lead the Royals to their first-ever season sweep of a GSAC team since joining the conference in 1999.  It was also Hope International's sixth GSAC win of the season matching the Royals' GSAC-win total of the previous 6 seasons combined.

Junior ~ 6-1 ~ Forward ~ La Quinta, California

Junior Carly Andrews averaged 17.5 points and 11 rebounds as she recorded double-doubles in both of Hope International's wins last week.  For the week, she shot 13-for-31 (.420) from the field and 9-for-11 (.820) at the line.  In the double-overtime win against then No. 7-Azusa Pacific, Andrews had 14 points, 12 rebounds, 3 steals, 2 blocks and 2 assists.  In the victory at Biola, she had 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 2 assists. Hope International currently has a 6-game winning streak.

Senior ~ 6-0 ~ Center ~ Wasco, California

Senior Lindsey West averaged 18.7 points, 11 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.7 steals as No. 17 Azusa Pacific won all 3 of its conference games last week.  For the week, West shot 20-for-38 (.530) from the field, including one 3-pointer, and 15-for-20 (.750) at the line.  In the win at California Baptist, she had 9 points and 9 rebounds.  In the victory over No. 12 Point Loma Nazarene, West had 18 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals.  She then recorded her seventh double-double of the season with 29 points and 15 rebounds at San Diego Christian.

Sophomore Jessica Richter averaged 30.5 points, 6 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 4.5 steals as No. 1-ranked Vanguard earned its fourth straight GSAC championship with 2 wins last week.  For the week, Richter shot 20-for-33 (.606) from the field, including 9-for-18 (.500) from 3-point range, and 12-for-13 (.923) at the line.  In the win against California Baptist, she recorded 34 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, and 3 steals.  In the victory at Hope International, Richter had 24 points, 6 steals, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. With the 2 wins, Vanguard brings its undefeated season to a 26-game win streak.
