KELLY SCHMIDT ~ Vanguard University
Freshman ~ 6-0 ~ Forward ~ Glendale, Arizona
Freshman Kelly Schmidt averaged 23 points and 7 rebounds as No. 3-ranked Vanguard won all 3 of its games last week.  For the week, she shot 19-for-32 (.594) from the field and 31-for-35 (.885) at the line, and had 7 assists, 5 steals and a block.  In the win against Pikeville KY, she had 26 points and 6 rebounds.  In the win over Montana-Western, she had 21 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists.  In the victory against No. 25-ranked Fresno Pacific, Schmidt nearly had a double-double with 22 points and 9 rebounds.  For the season, Schmidt leads the GSAC with 22.2 points per game and is second in rebounding with an average 8.8 rebounds per game.  Schmidt was selected as the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Jessica Mercado averaged 23 points, 5.5 rebounds, 6.5 steals, and 3.5 assists as Point Loma Nazarene won both of its conference match-ups last week.  For the week, she was 15-for-22 (.682) in 2-point territory and 16-for-24 (.667) at the line. In the win against Biola, she nearly recorded a double-double with 17 points and 9 rebounds.  In that game, Mercado recorded one of her 7 steals with 20 seconds remaining in the game with only a 1-point lead, then made free throws in the final seconds.  In the victory at No. 19-ranked Westmont, she had 29 points, 5 assists and 6 steals.

Sophomore ~ 5-11 ~ Forward ~ Mission Viejo, California
Meghan O'Donogue averaged 18.5 points, 4 rebounds and 1.5 assists as No. 22 Westmont defeated both of its GSAC opponents and remained in a tie for first place in the conference.  For the week, she was 12-for-21 (.571) from the field, including 11-for-19 (.579) from 3-point range, and 2-for-2 at the free throw line. In the upset of No. 5-ranked The Master's, O'Donogue hit 5-of-6 3-pointers in the second half and finished with 20 points. In the win at Christian Heritage, she had 17 points and 4 rebounds.

Sophomore ~ Wasco, California
Lindsey West averaged 27.5 points and 8.5 rebounds as Azusa Pacific won both of its GSAC games last week.  For the week, West was an impressive 21-for-26 (.808) from the field, including 1-for-1 from 3-point range, and was a perfect 12-for-12 at the charity stripe.  In the win against California Baptist, she recorded her second 30-point game and third double-double of the season with 32 points and 12 rebounds.  She also had 3 steals, 2 assists and a blocked shot.  In the victory at Westmont, which was in a tie for first place in the GSAC, West tallied 23 points and 5 rebounds.  Lindsey West was selected as the NAIA Division I Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

Center ~ 6-6 ~ Junior ~ Anambra, Nigeria
Linda Ogugua, who just became eligible in January, averaged 18 points and 14.5 rebounds, with 2 double-doubles as Biola won both its GSAC games on the road last week.  Ogugua was 17-for-33 (.515) shooting from the field.  In the win against Concordia, she recorded 18 points, 12 rebounds, and 2 blocks.  In the upset of No. 4-ranked Vanguard, which Biola had previously lost to by a 52-point margin, Ogugua tallied 18 points and 17 rebounds.

Guard ~ 5-9 ~ Junior ~ Castro Valley, California
Alli Greenaway averaged 22.5 points, 5 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2 steals as Point Loma Nazarene won both of its GSAC games last week to move into second place in the conference.  For the week, she was 17-for-30 (.567) from the field, including 10-for-19 (.526) from 3-point range.  In the win over No. 10-ranked The Master's on the road, Greenaway scored 23 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. In the win against Hope International, she tallied 22 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals.

LISA FAULKNER ~ Vanguard University
Guard ~ 5-5 ~ Junior ~ Oregon City, Oregon
Lisa Faulkner averaged 14.3 points, 12.7 assists and 2 rebounds as No. 3-ranked Vanguard won all 3 of its GSAC contests last week to remain in first place in the conference.  For the week, she was 12-for-27 (.444) from the field, including 8-for-20 (.400) from 3-point range, and was 11-for-12 (.917) at the line.  In the win at Fresno Pacific, Faulkner recorded a double-double with a season-high 24 points, including a game-winning 3-pointer, and 11 assists. In the win against No. 20-ranked Westmont she had 9 points, 15 assists, and 2 steals. With her ninth double-double of the season in a win against No. 12-ranked The Master's, she finished with 10 points, 12 assists and 4 rebounds.  Faulkner leads the NAIA with 10.1 assists per game.

Kelly Schmidt averaged 18 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1.5 steals per game as No. 3-ranked Vanguard won both its conference games on the road and clinched at least a share of the GSAC Championship.  For the week, she shot 14-for-23 (.609) from the field and 8-for-11 (.727) at the line.  Schmidt scored 17 points, grabbed 8 rebounds and dished out 3 assists in the win at No. 17-ranked Point Loma Nazarene.  In the win at Hope International, she recorded her eighth double-double of the season with 19 points and 11 rebounds as well as 2 steals.  Schmidt currently leads the GSAC in scoring (19.9 avg.) and field goal shooting percentage (58.6%) and is second in rebounding (8.7 avg.).

Shelby Hill averaged 17.5 points, 8.5 rebounds and 2 assists as Biola continued its 4-game winning streak with 2 conference wins last week.  For the week, Hill was 14-for-26 (.538) from the field and 7-for-9 (.778) at the line.  In the win against Hope International, she nearly had a double-double with 18 points and 9 rebounds.  In the victory over No. 23-ranked The Master's, she had 17 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists.
