Phoenix, AZ - On Tuesday afternoon, Arizona Christian hit for average and power mixed in with good pitching to sweep La Sierra 9-4 and 7-1.  As a team, ACU hit .439 with nine extra base hits while allowing just one earned run.  Junior Chelsea Havill had a big day going 4-7 with a home run and 5 RBI.

OAKLAND, Calif. – Seventh-ranked Menlo College Baseball took to the road for a non-conference Tuesday matinee against the NCAA Div. II Academy of Art Knights at Laney College in Oakland. It was all Menlo all afternoon as the Oaks pounded out 16 hits in route to an 11-3 victory over their Pac West foe. Menlo scored in six of the game's nine innings on Tuesday afternoon and improved its record to 25-6 overall while Academy of Art fell to 12-18 overall.

Dwyer (14-3) was outstanding this week going 3-3 and only allowed one total run in 21 innings of work. She went the distance in all three of her outings and totaled 15 strikeouts. She ended the week with a 0.43 ERA and had a .143 batting average against her.

Hope International University
George Castillo threw a complete-game shutout against Biola on Saturday in La Mirada to pick up a win for his teammates against the Eagles - Castillo struck out nine, walked just one, and only allowed five hits to the Eagles in his second complete-game outing for the Royals in nine appearances. Castillo retired the last 13 Eagles in a row to secure the victory, including five by strikeout in his last four innings of work.

Senior Johnnie Greco continues to lead the Warriors with his outstanding rounds on the course. This past week at the Battle at the Primm, Greco had a tournament-low round of 69, advancing him to finish 2 under for the weekend. At the end of tournament play for the season, Greco has won three individual titles, helping the team to three tournament titles, two of which were on competitors home course. He has finished in the Top-12 in every outing this season thus far receiving national recognition as the 10th player in the Nation in the individual race. With just the conference tournament left to play, the Warriors sit ranked 13th in the nation as a team looking forward to competing in the national tournament for the first time.

After moving into the Top 25 early last week, the 17th ranked Lions had a big sweep against #14 Simpson. Cassie Balswick is the latest in the line up to step up and lead the team. She was third in the team in batting average but first in runs scored and second in total runs. She game up with timely hits in two of the five games that directly led to victory.

Junior outfielder Jordan Getzelman once again had a phenomenal weekend at the plate, helping the Oaks to a series win over Oregon Tech on a chilly, snowy weekend. Getzelman had four hits on the weekend, all home runs to bring his season tally to an NAIA-leading 19. He's just one home run away from tying the single season record at Menlo set last season by second round draft pick Lucas Erceg. In total, he scored four runs, drove in six and walked one.
